On course the money really came for the Godolphin runner who was backed in from 5/1 to 3/1 favourite. In a muddling race run at a pedestrian pace over the first two to three furlongs, Dettori always had Creachadoir just off the pace; two out Frankie pressed the button and the favourite showed a nice turn of foot to win with the hint of something more to come. The form may be suspect and the time unimpressive but this looked good enough to me, particularly as the sweat between the colt's hind legs at the start didn't do much for the confidence. There was plenty of each-way money for Mick Channon's Majestic Roi, eventuaully sent off at 11/1, but the filly never got into it, finishing tenth of the eleven runners. I think she's better than she showed here and would forgive her this run.
Regal Flush went off 11/10 favourite in the 2.10. A canny front-running ride from Ted Durcan on Henry Cecil's charge Tranquil Tiger (5/1) saw the 'jolly' easily held by ten lengths.
There was never any fear of having to get the tea caddy out as Parisian Gift (11/2) finished a well-beaten sixth at Doncaster, weakening markedly in the final furlong. Perhaps this is as good as he is.GeeDeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09834633278297488704noreply@blogger.com
